ELL Work During Shutdown
3/16/2020
Hello Parents,
I wanted to give you some information on how to help your child his/her English skills while we are out of school during this extended time. In addition to work being sent home by the classroom teachers, it is important that students practice their English skills. There are a list of websites to help students listen, read, write, and speak in English found in my links section on this webpage.
If your student has a Raz-Kids account, this is another great way for students to practice English reading and listening. If you need help logging in, please email me.
Watching a favorite kid show or listening to songs in English on tv, and YouTube is also a good way to immerse the student into the language. There are some awesome links shared in my LINKS section.
I will be adding resources in my Documents section throughout the next few weeks. I will be checking my email regularly so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns or need more suggestions.
I so look forward to coming back to school and getting back to our learning schedules.
Best regards,
Melissa Sutphin
