Red Ribbon Week 2019
I Believe in Me, Happy, Healthy and Drug Free
It’s that time again! Red Ribbon Week 2019 will begin on Wednesday, October 23rd and end on Thursday, October 31st. This is a special week designed to promote and encourage our students to lead drug-free lifestyles. The Orchard students and staff will be participating in a variety of ways. A different activity is planned for each day of this special week. Our theme this year is: “I Believe in Me, Happy, Healthy and Drug Free!”
Students and staff can show their support for a drug-free lifestyle by participating in the following ways:
Wednesday, October 23rd: Show unity against bullying and drugs. WEAR ORANGE. Each student will receive a pencil and a bookmark with the slogan, “I Believe in Me, Happy, Healthy and Drug Free!”.
Thursday, October 24th: Team up against drugs. Students can wear clothing representing their favorite team.
Friday, October 25th: Orchard has the Power to Be Drug Free. Wear your Solon Spirit Wear.
Monday, October 28th: Each student will be given a special wristband to wear during the day. In addition, all students will be asked to sign a pledge to have the power of being drug free in the future. Once a student signs their pledge, he or she will be entered in a raffle and be eligible to win a special prize on Halloween. Ten winners from each grade level will be selected. Wear Red.
Tuesday, October 29th: Show you have the power to be Drug Free by dressing like a Super Hero.
Wednesday, October 30th: Sock it to bullying and drugs day! Students can wear crazy socks.
Thursday, October 31st: Orchard has the Power to Be Drug Free. Wear your Halloween Costume or Solon Spirit Wear.
Thanks for participating!
