Annual Pasta Dinner and One-Act Plays Are February 14
Annual Solon Music Parents’ Pasta Dinner & Drama Club One-Act Plays are February 14
You're invited for a Valentine’s Day evening of dinner, music and theater at Solon High School in support of Solon music and drama students.First, from 5-7 p.m., the Solon Music Parents are hosting the 39th annual Pasta Dinner. A fundraiser for the district’s music programs, the Pasta Dinner features music by Solon high school and middle school jazz bands.
The event also includes a fun silent auction with items for families to bid on and take home.
Tickets for the pasta dinner, beverage and dessert are $10 for adults, $5 for children age 10 and under (toddlers age 2 and under are free). For presale tickets, contact Lori Pitzer at 542-0234, email pdtickets@solonmusicparents.org or order online at solonmusicparents.org/store by midnight February 8. Tickets are also available at the door on the night of the event.
One-Acts!
Immediately following the Pasta Dinner at 7 p.m., grab a seat in the SHS auditorium for An Evening of One-Acts staged by the SHS Drama Club. The production features four short plays directed by and starring SHS students. The show will repeat on Friday, February 15, also at 7 p.m.
The One-Acts support the Drama Club scholarship fund. Tickets are $7 online at solon.es/oneacts or at the door.
This year’s One-Acts are four comedies:
- The Absolute Most Cliched Elevator Play in the History of the Entire Universe by Werner Trieschmann. Student directors are Dana Levine and Chad Ressler.
- Oz by Don Zolidis. Student directors are Amanda Kim and Andrew Moughan.
- Rapunzel Uncut by Mariah Everman. Student directors are Andrea Friedberg and JR Heckman.
- Whodunit? By Anne Coulter Martens. Student directors are Kyle Maiorana and Jake Ressler.
