State Testing & Delayed Start Reminders
Over the next month, many Solon High School students will take state of Ohio End-of-Course assessments. In addition to course requirements for a high school diploma, these assessments are important components of a pathway to meet Ohio graduation requirements for our students. Ohio requires students to take several end-of-year exams throughout their high school career: English/Language Arts 10, Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, U.S. History and U.S. Government. The Ohio Department of Education develops the tests, scores the tests and determines the criteria for scoring levels.
Students who are not enrolled in the courses noted above will have delayed start times on the state assessment testing dates.
END-of-COURSE ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE
Following is the official schedule for Ohio End-of-Course assessments at SHS. The assessments are all digital and students MUST bring their fully charged Chromebook each day. Students testing in math should bring a calculator. Room assignments will be announced in English classes and posted throughout the building.
