AP Testing and Schedule Update

Throughout this year, we have made and adjusted plans in real time to balance the safety of students and staff as well as provide as many in-person opportunities as possible during the pandemic.

AP testing is no exception. With more students returning to in-person learning and cases of COVID-19 continuing to decrease, we believe we can shift the times and dates of some AP exams. This means more exams will be offered in person and all AP exams will be administered from May 3 – May 21. The decision to stay with the digital format for four social studies exams was made based on input from teachers and students that the online option is best for students this year. All AP testing dates for both in-person and digital exams are set by College Board.

Please review the attached updated AP Exam Schedule carefully so that you are aware of dates and times for all AP exams.

There will be a digital testing option for students who are quarantined or who do not feel comfortable testing in person. These students must notify their teachers of this choice as soon as possible.

As a reminder, the fees for exams are due tomorrow, March 10, to the SHS Bookstore. Please make checks payable to “Solon Board of Education.” All students enrolled in AP classes are REQUIRED to take the AP exam for each AP class.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we made adjustments to the AP schedule. If you have specific questions about AP testing, please contact me or Mrs. Kinney at (440) 349-7307 or at via email at
