SOLON HIGH SCHOOL FALL PLAY – FIRST-EVER ALL LIVE-STREAM PRODUCTION
Solon High School presents The Tempest, the 2020 fall play.
To ensure the safety of student performers and crew as well as audience members, The Tempest will be live streamed only. The actors will be protected with specially designed masks incorporated into their costumes.
The production reimagines William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy as an homage to classic science fiction. Reminiscent of “Forbidden Planet” and “Star Trek,” the plot features a storm-tossed spaceship crashing onto a deserted planet, where the mysterious Prospero plots his revenge on the crash survivors, who had marooned him and his daughter, Miranda, on the planet 12 years prior.
