You may enter the building through the main entrance, the commons entrance on the east side of the building or the pool lobby entrance on the west side of the building. Our staff will be present throughout the building to help you find your way around the school.
Although we mailed all student schedules on Friday, I am aware that many have not yet arrived. We will be opening PowerSchool by tomorrow morning district wide. So even if you don’t get your schedule in the mail today, you will be able to log in to PowerSchool first thing tomorrow to retrieve it.
Prior to your arrival we wanted to share with you our virtual 9th Grade Orientation Video. Please click on the link below to view the video. The information included will familiarize you with our expectations for the start of the year, identify keys to success for virtual learning and review important information regarding our daily schedule. Parents, I encourage you to view the video as well, as it contains information that will help you navigate the start of the year with your child.
Additionally, I would like to invite our 9th graders to join me and Mr. Frazier in a LIVE Q and A Google Meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 20. If you have any questions that were not answered in the orientation video, this will be an opportunity for you to connect directly with both the principal and assistant principal to get further information. We ask that any student who participates follows proper etiquette: You must use your video function so we can see your face and you will need to keep your microphone muted during the dialogue. We will utilize the chat feature to allow students to ask their questions in real time. The first 250 participants will be able to join. Parents, this is a student-only event. Parents will have an opportunity to participate in the Freshmen PTA Parent-Principal Coffee on Tuesday, August 25.
