Professional Day Update
Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, April 16, is a staff professional day. There is no school for students. Our cases of COVID-19 remain very low. We believe this is due to the continued adherence of protocols in our schools.

Solon High School Drama Club Presents: Freaky Friday
The Solon High School Drama Club is back on stage with its spring musical, Freaky Friday. In-person performances are April 15-18 and taped streamed performances are April 22-25. These are "scheduled streams," and similar to broadcast TV, will air at the times listed. Pause and rewind functions will not be possible. Access to each streamed performance is $25. Streaming access tickets are also available now at the online ticket portal at https://www.solonschools.org/ticketportal

Looking Ahead to End-of-Year Events
With less than eight full weeks remaining in the school year, we have many milestones on the horizon for our students and families. Please continue to adhere to the public health protocols. We do not want anyone to have to miss any of the upcoming events that serve as such important markers in the lives of our students and their families.

Solon Schools Named Best Community for Music Education 2021
The district was recognized for its outstanding commitment to music education and successful efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Solon joins only 686 other school districts nationwide in receiving the designation from the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation. The award reflects the broad array of both school-based and community-wide music programming and performance opportunities for students as well as the strong partnership with families of music students.

April Four-Day Weekend Update
As we head into a four-day weekend, please continue adhering to the protocols and taking the actions we know mitigate the risk of COVID-19. There are many end-of-year events on the horizon and we are excited that students have more to look forward to as the 4th quarter continues. It is important that we keep our cases low so students do not miss out on these traditions and programs.

Ohio Extended Learning Plan
To assess the impact on students caused by pandemic-related disruptions, each Ohio school district is required to submit an Extended Learning Plan to the Ohio Department of Education by April 1. Read Solon's plan to see how student needs are being met.
