Last Three Days of School May 30-June 1
As we head into the final stretch of the 22-23 academic year, I wanted to share the testing schedule we will follow May 30, May 31 and June 1. During these last three days of school, all Solon High School students will be taking an assessment in each of their classes that will count toward the assessment component of their fourth quarter grades. The schedule is attached.

SHS Testing Day - March 14
As we prepare to begin administering several state and national tests in the coming months, I wanted to inform you of important information regarding the Pre-ACT and ACT. We will administer the Pre-ACT test to all 10th graders and the ACT Test to all 11th graders on Tuesday, March 14. Testing times will run from 7:50 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Once students are finished with the test, they will be dismissed as a classroom around 11:30 a.m. on that day. Buses will be running at their normal times on this day. Freshman and Seniors do not report to school on March 14.

College Credit Plus Info Night
Solon High School is hosting an online information session about the College Credit Plus Program on Tuesday, January 24, at 6:30 p.m. for students currently in grades 5-11 (and their families) considering taking CCP+ courses next school year. The 90-minute session will provide an overview of the program as well as an explanation of the procedures/requirements for participating. October 12 Pre-ACT and PSAT Testing Day
Freshman students will be taking the Pre-ACT, sophomores will be taking the PSAT, selected juniors who pre-registered will be taking the PSAT and seniors will have a work-at-home day.

Solon High School Visit Day is October 6
Solon High School is rolling out the welcome mat on Thursday, October 6, to prospective students currently attending private or parochial schools. The annual Solon High School Visit Day is for Solon and Glenwillow residents – both students and their parents – who are currently enrolled in eighth grade at a private or parochial school and considering enrolling at SHS next year. Register by September 29 to (440) 349-7307.

Curriculum Night
SHS Curriculum Night is Thursday, August 25, beginning at 7 p.m. The purpose of this program is to provide parents with the opportunity to meet their student’s teachers and hear a brief presentation about each class. Teachers will give an overview of their respective courses and will answer questions about curriculum, grading procedures, homework and testing.

Parking Permits for 2022-23
Sophomore, junior and senior students at Solon High School who are licensed drivers are eligible to purchase parking permits for the 2022-23 school year. Students purchasing permits must complete the registration, pay for their permits in EZpay and complete the educational module for Ohio's Graduated Drivers License Law with their parent/guardian in order to pick up their permits.

State Testing & Delayed Start Reminders
Over the next month, many Solon High School students will take state of Ohio End-of-Course assessments. In addition to course requirements for a high school diploma, these assessments are important components of a pathway to meet Ohio graduation requirements for our students.
