  • No School for Grades 9 and 12 on October 14

This year our 9th and 12th graders will NOT have school on October 14. We have historically used this day for our 9th graders to take a practice ACT and our seniors to prepare college application materials. Due to the limits we have on large groups within the building this year, we will not be giving our 9th graders the practice ACT on October 14. If we are able to provide this opportunity to our freshmen in the spring, we will certainly do so.

  • Curriculum Night - It's Virtual!

This year we will be conducting our annual Solon High School Curriculum Night virtually. All SHS staff members have created a brief 7-10 minute video for each of the classes they teach. This video will provide an introduction of the teacher, an explanation of how students will access the class virtually, an overview of what remote instruction looks like, how assessments will be conducted and where students can get extra help. I invite you to view these videos, as well as an introductory video from the high school administrative team that will explain where you can find each teacher’s personal video, on Thursday, August 27, any time after 7 p.m.
