Superintendent's Welcome

  •  Welcome to the Solon Schools!

Our community provides an exceptional education for children, a top-notch library, beautiful parks and recreation areas, and a wide array of businesses and services that make Solon a destination community and a vibrant place to live and work.

Serving students in the City of Solon and the Village of Glenwillow, the Solon Schools are continually recognized as one of the premier districts in Ohio and nationwide. The Solon Schools are ranked among the nation’s and area’s best by such independent sources as Forbes, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Expansion Management Magazine and Cleveland Magazine.

Each year, students in this community meet rigorous academic challenges with increasingly higher levels of achievement. Such superior achievement does not happen by chance. It is the direct result of long-term strategic planning and a collaborative learning community that values accountability and puts students first.

Solon teachers continue to work hard aligning our Solon curriculum to academic content standards while simultaneously implementing research-based best teaching practices in their classrooms that demonstrate student achievement results.

Equally important, our students excel outside the classroom in a wide variety of co-curricular activities. In Solon, we embrace the three A’s – Academics, Arts and Athletics – and all share significant emphasis in the district. Families who move here often cite the schools and the ability of their children to pursue their passions in and out of the classroom as a major reason they choose to make Solon their home. The district’s commitment to excellence and meeting the needs of every child, every day ensures that the educational program and co-curricular activities available through the Solon Schools meet those high expectations.

Thank you to everyone in our community for your continued support of the Solon Schools.

    Together, we are SC!
