Quality Profile
The Solon City Schools annual Quality Profile is a comprehensive community-oriented companion report to the State of Ohio School Report Cards. The Quality Profile details additional accountability indicators that more completely define a high-quality public education.
The Quality Profile demonstrates the depth and breadth of the excellent educational program provided in Solon and reflects the values and goals outlined in the district’s mission and Strategic Plan. Specifically, the Quality Profile outlines results in the following categories:

Solon High School was named to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.
Solon High School has 27 National Merit Semi-Finalists and 28 Commended Scholars for the 2025 competition.
Through Solon's robust AP program, 782 students took 1,861 Advanced Placement exams in 2024. Students earned a score of 3, 4 or 5 on 1,669 on those exams, earning valuable college credits.
The College Board conferred AP Scholar Awards to 409 Solon High School students and recent graduates in 2024 for their outstanding achievement on AP coursework and exams.
Solon students’ average ACT scores Class of 2022 – Composite: 24.8, English: 24.1, Math: 25.1.
Solon students’ average SAT scores Class of 2022 – ERW: 588, Math: 603.
Solon High School students can choose from more than 140 courses, including AP coursework in Solon High School offers AP classes in 2-D Art and Design, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Comparative Government and Politics, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, Drawing, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Environmental Science, European History, French Language and Culture, Human Geography, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Music Theory, Physics 1, Physics 2, Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, Physics C: Mechanics, Psychology, Research, Seminar, Spanish Language and Culture, Statistics, United States Government and Politics, United States History and World History.
World languages offered – Spanish, French, Chinese and American Sign Language.
Eleven Solon seniors were U.S. Presidential Scholar candidates in 2024. (Solon High School Presidential Scholars: 1990, 1995, 2003, 2007, 2009 and 2012.)
