Quality Profile
The Solon Schools annual Quality Profile is a comprehensive community-oriented companion report to the State of Ohio School Report Cards. The Quality Profile details additional accountability indicators that more completely define a high-quality public education.
The Quality Profile demonstrates the depth and breadth of the excellent educational program provided in Solon and reflects the values and goals outlined in the district’s mission and Strategic Plan. Specifically, the Quality Profile outlines results in the following categories:

Solon High School was named to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.
Solon High School has 19 National Merit Finalists, 1 National Merit Semi-Finalist, 27 National Merit Commended Scholars and 3 National African American Award recipients for the 2024 competition.
Through Solon's robust AP program, 782 students took 1,782 Advanced Placement exams in 2023. Students earned a score of 3, 4 or 5 on 1,565 on those exams, earning valuable college credits.
The College Board conferred AP Scholar Awards to 412 Solon High School students and recent graduates in 2023 for their outstanding achievement on AP coursework and exams.
Solon students’ average ACT scores Class of 2022 – Composite: 24.8, English: 24.1, Math: 25.1.
Solon students’ average SAT scores Class of 2022 – ERW: 588, Math: 603.
Solon High School students can choose from more than 140 courses, including 28 different AP classes: AP Capstone, Art History, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics 1 & 2, Comparative Government, Economics, European History, Psychology, U.S. Government, U.S. History, Human Geography, World History, English Language, English Literature, Calculus AB & BC, Computer Science, Computer Science Principles, Statistics, Chinese, French, Seminar - African Diaspora, Spanish, 2-D Design, Music Theory and Studio Art.
World languages offered – Spanish, French, Chinese and American Sign Language.
Eleven Solon seniors were U.S. Presidential Scholar candidates in 2024. (Solon High School Presidential Scholars: 1990, 1995, 2003, 2007, 2009 and 2012.)
