Usage Agreement


Students entering Grades 5th, 7th and 9th will receive a Chromebook this Fall. It can be used by the student throughout the school year and during the summer. It must be returned at the end of the 4 year cycle, upon request by building administration, or when the student leaves the district. The device can be taken home when the student and the parents/guardians sign this agreement. If the student and parents/guardians do not agree with the terms of this agreement, the student will be limited to use of the device at school only.

Home Use

  • The use of Chromebooks at home for educational purposes is encouraged.
  • Chromebook care at home is as important as in school, please refer to taking care of chromebooks.
  • School district Internet filtering will not be provided for the Chromebooks when used outside of school district buildings.

Student Privacy
Solon City School District adheres to all local policies and state and federal laws regarding student and staff data privacy.
