Welcome to 7 North Language Arts! I'm so excited to be your LA teacher this year! 

This is my 18th year teaching in Solon and 20th year teaching overall. I graduated from Malone University in Canton, OH with a bachelor's degree and earned a Masters of Arts in Secondary English Education from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA.

I've taught 7th to 10th grade in Solon over the years. I'm glad to have landed in 7th! I love my students and I love reading! My passion is helping students find the perfect books for them. I read lots of young adult books to help my students in selecting books. Right now, my favorite book is Free Lunch and No Fixed Address. My favorites change frequently, and I can't wait to share books with you! 

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family! I'm married and have three sons; Reagan is 11, Luke is 9, and Noah is 5. They love to read too! We love the outdoors, swimming, travelling together, skiing and cooking. I also have a huge extended family! I have 6 brothers and sisters. I'm a twin and I love doing life with my siblings and many, many nieces and nephews.
