Ms. Laura Fitch

Welcome to my class webpage!  This page will be an important tool for all of my classes.  From this page, students can access our calendar, which includes upcoming lessons and assignments, as well as important class documents and links.  Most handouts for class will also be posted here either in the Documents section for the appropriate class and in Google Classroom. Students should also pay close attention to announcements and assignments posted in Google Classroom.

Monthly calendars/lesson plans are linked to the left. Click on the class you are looking for and then on the calendar tab and you will be taken to this month's calendar. Feel free to email me with questions.

9th Grade Honors English Supply List
Supplies for 9 Honors English consist of basic school supplies, but students are expected to come to class with these supplies every day for the entire school year. In other words, telling me you don’t have a writing utensil to work with in March is not an expectable excuse.  Students will need:

  • A 1 -1/2 inch binder  that will be used only for English with 5 tabs for organizing
  • Loose-leaf paper put into the folder
  • at least one colored pen (color doesn't matter, but not blue or black -- will be used for editing/revision)
  • Blue or Black pens
  • Pencils (mechanical or #2 are fine)
  • Two highlighters (any color) to be brought daily
  • A supply of sticky notes IF student chooses not to annotate novels directly on the page. Students will be required to mark and annotate all reading materials, including novels.  Those using a library book or copy that cannot be written in will be required to use sticky notes placed in the book for annotations.
  • Summer reading books

A.P. Literature Supply List
Supplies for A.P. Literature consist of basic school supplies, but students are expected to come to class with these supplies every day for the entire school year. In other words, telling me you don’t have a writing utensil to work with in March is not an expectable excuse.  Students will need:

  • A pocket folder in which to keep and organize handouts. The main concern is that students use a system that works for them.
  • A supply of basic lined paper (can be loose or spiral-bound)
  • Blue or black ballpoint or felt tip pens (students should not use glitter pens or neon-type colors for class assignments)
  • Pencils (mechanical or #2 are fine)
  • Highlighters (any color is fine)
  • A supply of sticky notes IF student chooses not to annotate novels directly on the page. Students will be required to mark and annotate all reading materials, including novels.  Those using a library book or copy that cannot be written in will be required to use sticky notes placed in the book for annotations.
