SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
-
Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing male, female and minority interest in science, creating a technologically-literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers. These goals are achieved by participating in Science Olympiad tournaments and non-competitive events, incorporating Science Olympiad into the classroom curriculum and attending teacher training institutes.
The Solon Science Olympiad team has been one of the most successful programs in the state of Ohio and in the nation. Our club is one of the largest in the state. The student/parent information meeting is on 9/1 at 7:00PM in the lecture hall. Ninth-grade students must ALSO follow the SMS Div B process before they can join the high school club. You can find that information on the SMS Clubs page by selection Science Olympiad. Here is what it looks like but you need to go to the site to get the links.
