Solon Middle School Science Olympiad teams placed third and fourth at the thirty-three team Northmont Invitational last Saturday. Placing first were Noah Rahman & Jonathan DeQuach in Rocks and Minerals; and Matt Schwartz & Saeed Rahman in Science of Fitness. Placing second were Linda Yuan & Felix Yuan in Bridge Building; Linda Yuan & Yungrui Wang in Egg Drop; Andrew Park & Sara Kline in Feathered Frenzy; Felix Yuan & Ahmil Jilani in Life Science Process; Matt Schwartz, Tom Bohn & Kim Bui in Mission Possible; Stan Wang & Tom Bohn in Mystery Architecture; Matt Schwartz & Surbbi Lal in Water Quality; and Matt Tomayko & Jonathan Huang in Weather or Not. Finally, placing thirs were Jennifer Kirian, Matt Schwartz & Tom Bohn in Experimental Design; Jennifer Kirian & Anh Bui in Feathered Frenzy; Matt Schwartz & Saeed Rahman in Life Science Process; Akshai Singh & Sara Kline in Reach for the Stars; Matt Tomayko & Anh Bui in Rocks & Minerals; Noah Rahman & Chelsea Feng in Science Crime Busters, and Stacey Wang & Ahmil Jilani in Water Quality. The team will compete again in April to earn the right to represent Ohio at the national tournament. Congratulations team. |
