Sports News 12/5/2011 Full Article Solon Gymnastics Team Defeats Lakewood 1/26/2012 The Lady comets traveled to Lakewood on Thursday 1/19/12 and came out on top with a win beating Lakewood with a team score of 124.7. It was a cold and blustery evening as the team traveled to Lakewood but the team put together some hot routines to earn them another victory as their gymnastic season continues. Individual scores include: Vault: Olivia B. 8.45, Callie S. 8.35, Claudia V. 8, Rachel Solon Beats Harding 1/24/2012 The Solon Lady Comets improved their mark to 12-2 Monday night defeating Warren Harding 88-57. The Comets played unselfishly on both sides of the court. On defense Emily Russell and Amanda Bevington took key charges in the 1st half. Offensively the Comets had four players reach double digits. Kristen Confroy 22, Jaime Gluesing 19, Martha Thompson 17, and Kristen Low 12. The Comets will travel to S Solon Beats Lakewood 1/23/2012 The Solon Lady Comets improved to 11-2 Saturday afternoon, defeating Lakewood 60-38. The Comets jumped out to a 21-8 lead after the 1st quarter and never looked back. The Comets were led in scoring by Kristen Confroy 18, Martha Thompson 15, and Jaime Gluesing 11.
