About This Site...

This site is designed for use with all current web browsers, but is especially well-suited for version 4 and higher browsers, such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape's Communicator or Navigator. At the time of this posting, version 5 or Explorer has been released and Navigator/Communicator is at version 4.6. Both of these products are free. However, depending on your computer and modem, they make take quite some time to download. Links to the latest versions are found below.

Please note that every effort is made to ensure that every user can enjoy this site and benefit from the information here. However, as technology advances, some older computers with slower modems (less than 56k) may find browsing this site a bit more difficult.

The site is designed for 14 inch and above monitors. If you have a 15 or 17 inch or larger monitor, we strongly urge you to set your screen resolution to maximize the full size of your screen.

Please note that the America Online browser is not well-suited for this site. If you use AOL, you may wish to use one of the two major browsers for your web surfing.

To view Portable Document Format (PDF) documents featured on this site, please make sure you have downloaded and properly installed the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in.

PLEASE NOTE: The Adobe Acrobat Reader software is free. You do not need to purchase any product to follow these directions and access these files.

The Acrobat plug-in contains two programs. One program allows you to read Acrobat or PDF files in a standalone capacity. Once the file has been downloaded to your computer, you open the Acrobat Reader application and open the PDF files you wish to view. The second program is known as a "plug-in." A plug-in is a mini-application that extends or enhances the capabilities of your browser (Netscape Navigator/Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer). There are hundreds of plug-ins available today, but the Acrobat Plug-in is one of the most popular and most useful. Many newer computers come with the plug-in correctly installed. If not, installation is often automatically done by the program once it has been down loaded. However, you may need to maually install the plug-in yourself. Simply find the plug-ins folder in your browser's directory and drag the plug-in to the folder. Restart your browser and you're ready to go.

To see if your computer is correctly configured, try downloading this test file. If it automatically launches the Acrobat Reader and displays the congratulations message, you're all set. If not, please go to the Adobe Systems website and read the directions there on correctly downloading and installing the plug-in.
