The Interview Project
Procedure Sheet
Objective:
Students will create a mock magazine or television interview with a
historical figure
Procedures:
1. Choose a historical figure from a teacher generated list of personalities. You may select a person who is not on the list with teachers approval.
2. Locate six sources (textbook, library materials and internet sources) three of which may be of the same genre. All sources must be pertinent and credible to your person.
3. Working in pairs, fill in teacher form and print and turn in to teacher.
4. Upon teacher approval, create a 10 slide PowerPoint document. Each body slide should contain one interview question and corresponding answer and one visual. Clipart is unacceptable. Your project will be given a number and your name should not appear on the PowerPoint anywhere. (Criteria)
5. Complete a peer evaluation sheet.
6. Turn in work to teacher via network in teacher drop box and on the class zip-disk.
7. Grade five PowerPoint projects on a 1-5 scale and turn in evaluation sheet to teacher.
Ten slides:
1. Introduction. This slide must contain background information. Eg. Date and location of birth. Reason for fame (do not include student names).
2-9. Body Slides: Question/ Answer and visual.
10. Conclusion. Summarize historical legacy of this person.
