Project/Task: |
Students will be presented with a symptom scenario in which they will parent a child with a chromosomal disorder. Their tasks will include: · Diagnosing the disorder · Establishing the mode of inheritance · Constructing/Explaining a pedigree chart · Compiling information concerning incidence in population, possible treatments for the child, and the accommodations that will be necessary to enable the child to fulfill their potential. · Role play counseling session with a family seeking advice. · Provide parental networking information · Create an educational brochure |
