Project/Task:

Students will be presented with a real world problem and will create multimedia-enhanced presentations that will make connections from the play to modern times.  

Assessment:

Traditional:  quizzes, daily homework assignments, study guides, paragraphs, class participation, exam, essay

PBL:  multimedia-enhanced, web based, nonlinear presentation (video), assessed according to multimedia rubric

Learning Strategies:

1.    Read the play in class

2.  Introduce PBL unit-- website resources

3.    Discuss literary and poetic terms used in work

4.    Periodic assessment:  quizzes, study guides, paragraphs, etc.

5.    Students complete PBL unit while studying the play.
