Assignment Objectives:
You will be working with another individual in this class, and will decide on a hero that exemplifies our definition of “hero.” Together, you will do research, obtain images, and assemble a video-based slide show that explains, and illustrates, the characteristics of the person selected.
Some ideas, or issues, to explore when researching your
hero:
- 6 textually-based web sites per group
- Print copy of all research compiled for each student including Works Cited
information
- Research needed each day in preparation for the in-class writing
- 3-Minute video
- 36 Different images including those of the hero, along with the issues that
represent the hero
a. Options: web pictures, digital camera pictures, scanned pictures, Windows Paint drawings
- 1 Song
a. appropriate in language, and purpose
b. appropriately matched to the hero
- 2 Voice Recordings – one from each student
a. 15+ seconds each
b. Option: Introduction and Conclusion to the Hero; between slides
- Organization
a. Order of Video should reflect organization of subtopics
b. Subtopics should contain images with common themes
c. Transitions between subtopics and individual slides
