A Digital Reflection
Choose five family photos that reflect significant aspects of your life: a favorite family member, place, activity, or tradition.
Write a creative description (3-5 sentences) of each photo. Each description should illustrate one of the following elements:
- Mood
- Setting
- Character description
- Sensory detail (smell, sound, touch, taste, sight)
- Action
In order to illustrate each element you will have to successfully demonstrate your ability to “show” not “tell.”

Example “tell”: The day was hot. “show”: As I cross the smoldering blacktop parking lot, the sweat slides down my back, staining the edge of my shirt. When I slide onto the leather seat, my skin struggles to find shady relief. |
Requirements for the presentation:
- 6 slides: one title slide that contains your name, a table of contents, and hyperlinks to each corresponding page; 5 content slides
- each content slide will contain the image and the text
- NO sounds, animation, or clip art
- an appropriate custom background
- text must be grammatically correct and visible
- pictures may be used as a background
- all pictures must be clear
