Purpose
The student will visualize and then map out the memories of a childhood bedroom to create details for a poem. The student will write an original poem based upon this information.
Format
The student will work individually to create a memory map of his or her childhood bedroom that will lead to a poem. The students will create a multimedia presentation that will include a dramatic reading and one or more of the following: an image slide show in Intro DV, a Power Point presentation, music, or a movie. The multimedia presentation will contain a graphic of the poet’s illustration of the poem.
Evaluation
The poem adheres to the guidelines and processes of the poetry assignment.
The presentation will be judged on criteria of the multimedia rubric.
