In this project, 8th Graders upcycled outdated, discarded books into interactive works of art. They explored the history of upcycling books, dating back to the Middle Ages, and then each chose a theme to explore through a series of spreads in their book. Themes varied from fairytales to the apocalypse, from death to the origin of the world. Students them got their feet wet by using a variety of processes and techniques in their books, which were displayed in the school library when complete.
