Reid Thompson's three pointer with 2 seconds remaining gave Solon a 49-46 road win against Stow Friday night. With the game tied at 46 Sincere Carry dished to Thompson in the left corner and for the second time this season Reid won it with a three. Thompson lead the team with 22 points including six three point field goals. The win clinched a second place conference finish for the comets, their highest finish in eight seasons.

The team begins tournament action on Wednesday as they travel to Bedford for a 7:00 pm tip.

After trailing early Solon made a fourth quarter comeback to force overtime before eventually falling 53-51 to Twinsburg. In his first game back from injury Sincere Carry led the way with 17 points, 8 steals and 6 assists. Ryan Guest added 8 points and 9 rebounds and Jason Steele scored 9 and dished 4 assists.

The team will travel to Stow to close out the regular season on Friday.

Solon hosted Valley Forge on Tuesday and got their 9th win of the season 76-36. The team had 11 players score and were led by Mateo Dillard with 13 points. Also scoring in double figures were Tim Harmody with 12 and Ryan Guest and Jason Steele who each added 10. The team will return to action Friday night as they host rival Twinsburg for senior night.

The boys pushed their win streak to 3 games with a 44-39 overtime victory at North Royalton. The defense was strong all night holding their second straight opponent under 40 points. In the overtime Reid Thompson got the team going with back to back three point makes. Thompson led the team with 15 points on the night. The team was able to hold on down the stretch do to clutch free throw shooting by Jason Steele and Zack Lesko.

The team will be back in action as it travels to Cuyahoga Falls Friday night.

Solon earned a hard fought come from behind victory Friday night 43-39 over the Brush Arcs. Mateo Dillard hit a 3 point shot with 50 seconds left to give Solon its first lead of the second half. Jason Steele led the way with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The win improves the team to 7-9 on the season and 5-2 in the league. Solon is now in a three way tie for first place in the conference with Hudson and Stow.

The boys return to action this Tuesday as they travel to North Royalton.

The comets earned a non-league victory Tuesday 65-57 over Nordonia to improve to 6-9 on the season. Reid Thomspon led the way with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Jason Steele added 18 points and Dylan Perry chipped in with 16 including 9 in the first quarter to help Solon out to a fast start. The boys return to the floor Friday as they host Brush.

Solon lost a hard fought game Tuesday night 52-38 to the 11-2 Brunswick Blue Devils. Solon fell behind 12 points at the half and battled to get the lead cut to 6 twice in the third quarter. The team just couldn't overcome the size and outside shooting of Brunswick. Reid Thompson again led the rwM in scoring with 18 points and Tim Harmody chipped in 7. Jason Steele led the team with 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

Come out and support the team this Friday as it travels to Hudson. Both teams are currently tied for first place in the conference and this match-up should go a long way in determining this years conference winner.
