The Solon boys won both games over the weekend defeating Euclid 89-74 and John F Kennedy 76-60. Reid Thompson continued his hot scoring netting 37 points against Euclid and another 35 points against JFK. Jason Steele also had a big weekend scoring 15 in the win over Euclid and scoring a season high 23 points against JFK. The team concludes the regular season on Friday night as it travels to Elyria to close out conference play.

Solon boys had back to back games Thursday and Friday last week. The team traveled to University School on Thursday winning by 14 points. The team was unable to bounce back with a win Friday losing at home to Strongsville by 1. Jason Steele led the team with 20 points in the win. Reid Thompson was the leading in the loss on Friday scoring 26 points. Reid finished the week scoring 68 points and making 13 three pointers over the three games last week.

Solon has three games this week starting Tuesday at Mentor. The final home game of the season and senior night will be Friday against Euclid. The team finishes the week Saturday at Cleveland JFK.

Solon went on the road Tuesday night and defeated Nordonia by a score of 85-49. Solon used the long ball hitting 12 first half threes to jump out to a 54-26 half time lead. The Comets were led by Reid Thompson who score 26 points including 7 3 pointers. Jason Steele added 16 points and Daryl Johnson also scored in double figures with 14. The team is back in action as it travels to University School Thursday night for a makeup game.

For the second time this year the Comets defeated the Shaker Heights Raiders. This time by a score of 82-73. The team was led in scoring by Sincere Carry with 23 points. Reid Thompson added 21 points including four 3 pointers. As a team Solon shot 50% from the three point line and made a season high 25 free throws to go over the 80 point mark for the second time this season. The boys are back in action this Friday as it travels to Brunswick.
